Qualifiers: 1. P(UK) M & M Ridden Pony of the Year, 2. NPS Summer Championship Show, 3. NPS/Ringside stud Open Ridden National Championship, 4. National Welsh Brynseion Stud Ridden Championship, 5. TSR Showing Finals. 

All ponies must be registered in their approved pure breed society stud book. 

26  NPS/Ringside Stud Open Ridden National Championship M & M Small breeds open. Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over. Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Welsh A or Welsh B. Rider any age.
27 NPS/Ringside Stud Open Ridden National Championship M & M Large breeds open. Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over. Connemara, Dales, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Welsh C or Welsh D. Rider any age.
  Championship for 1st and 2nd placed ponies in classes 26 and 27. The NPS/Minns Ridden Silver Medal Rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered pony in the Mountain and Moorland Open Ridden Section. NPS Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the Owner of the champion pony is a Qualifying or Life member of the NPS. If the Owner of the champion pony is not a member, the rosette may be awarded to the Reserve Champion provided they have the required membership.
28 M & M novice. Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over. All breeds. Not to have won a first prize of £10 or more in any open ridden M & M class at any show before 1st January 2018. Ride any age.
29 M & M young riders small breeds. Mare or gelding, 4 years old and over. Rider not to have attained their 14th birthday before the 1st January 2018.
30 M & M young riders large breeds. Mare or gelding, 4 years old and over. Rider not to have attained their 18th birthday before the 1st January 2018.
31 M & M amateur rider all breeds. Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old or over. Rider any age. Open to riders who for showing purposes have not engaged in a training programme for riders/horses/ponies, livery, buying/selling or dealing of horses/ponies as a means of deriving a source of income since 1st August 2016.
