Affliations: NPS, Ponies (UK), WPCS, EPS, Dartmoor PS, SPSBS, BCPS, Dales PS, FPS, HPS, NFPBCS and TSR.

P(UK) RIHS Dalkeith Young Rider Qualifiers

All ponies must be registered in their approved pure breed society stud book. Owners must be Annual Members/Riders and be current P(UK) Annual/Senior/Junior Riders Club Members and the ponies currently registered with P(UK) before time of entry in order to compete in these classes.

28  Dalkeith Young Riders M & M Small Breeds Final. Mare or gelding 4 years old and over. Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Welsh A or Welsh B. Rider not to have attained their 14th birthday before 1st January in the current year.
29 Dalkeith Young Riders M & M Large Breeds Final. Mare or gelding 4 years old and over. Connemara, Dales, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Welsh C or Welsh D. Rider not to have attained their 18th birthday before 1st January in the current year.
30 Dalkeith Young Riders Intermediate M & M Final. Stallion, mare or gelding 4 years old and over. Open to all M & M breeds. Rider not to have attained their 25th birthday before 1st January in the current year (see rule 7 of the current P(UK) rulebook).


P(UK) M & M RIHS Amateur Riders

All ponies must be registered in their approved pure breed society stud book. Owners must be Annual Members/Riders and be current P(UK Annual/Senior/Junior Riders Club Members and the ponies currently registered with P(UK) before the time of entry in order to compete in class 31. Open to riders who, for showing purposes, have not engaged in a training programme for riders/horses/ponies, livery, buying/selling or dealing of horses/ponies as a means of deriving a source of income since 1st August 2016 (rule 25 in P(UK) rulebook).

31 P(UK) M & M Amateur Riders Final. Stallion, mare or gelding 4 years old and over. Rider any age. Open to all M & M breeds.

 

Mountain and Moorland ridden (non RIHS qualifiers)

Qualifiers: 1 - P(UK) Kingsford M & M Ridden Pony of the Year, 2 - NPS Summer Championship Show, 3 - NPS/Ringside Stud Open Ridden National Championship, 4 - National Welsh Brynseion Stud Ridden Championship, 5 - Exmoor Pony of the Year, 6 - TSR Showing Finals. 

NPS Mountain and Moorland Qualifying Rounds: These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain and Moorland Stud Books. Part breds are not eligible.   

The NPS/The Minns Ridden Silver Medal Rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered pony in the M & M Open Ridden Section. To be judged under the Rules of the NPS. NPS Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the Owner of the champion pony is a Qualifying or Life member of the NPS. If the Owner of the Champion pony is not a member, the rosette may be awarded to the Reserve Champion provided they have the required membership.

Special rosettes will be presented by each breed society. Current membership cards must be shown in the ring. 

32  Small breeds. Stallion, mare or gelding 4 years old over. Rider any age. Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Welsh A and Welsh B. This class is not an RIHS qualifier. 
33 Large breeds. Stallion, mare or gelding 4 years old and over. Rider any age. Connemara, Dales, Fells, Highland, New Forest, Welsh C and Welsh D. This class is not an RIHS qualifier.
